This series is named for the author Peter Rushforth (1945-2005). Peter died while on a walk with friends. At the time I had just started a series of sketches from nature; colour combinations at a similar scale to Japanese woodcuts which were made to illustrate the colour and patterns of kimonos.

At present there are over 50 painting in the series.
